当地时间1月30日，美国司法部继续公布已故富商杰弗里·爱泼斯坦案相关调查材料。司法部副部长托德·布兰奇在记者会上表示，司法部当天额外公布超过300万页相关材料，其中包括约2000段视频和18万张图片，均与爱泼斯坦案件有关。
布兰奇表示，此次披露系根据《爱泼斯坦档案透明法案》要求推进。该法案于去年11月19日正式生效，要求司法部在30天内公布所有与爱泼斯坦有关的文件。
司法部表示，目前仍有数百万页文件处于审查过程中。因数量庞大，相关材料的整理和发布可能还需数周时间。截至目前，司法部已在官网公布约1.2万份文件，合计约12.5万页，仅占全部资料的一小部分。
已披露材料包括1996年提交给联邦调查局的一份投诉记录、有关潜在同伙调查的细节，以及2019年爱泼斯坦被捕后，联邦调查局在其纽约及美属维尔京群岛房产中搜查获得的数千张照片。司法部称，后续文件披露将继续在法律允许范围内推进。
